the PROJECT INVOLVED THE gut renovation of A cO-op Apartment THAT had not been TOUCHED in OVER 50 years and required complete upgrade OF THE KITCHEN, two bathroom, AND ALL PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL FIXTURES. One of the challenges of the project was A small fully enclosed kitchen AND MAIDS ROOM that was separate from the rest of the apartment. our solution was to OPEN UP THE KITCHEN TO THE ENTRY AND ADD AN informal seating area and a prep work space WHICH EXTENDS INTO THE LIVING AND CREATES A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE SPACES. Additional design elements include RENOVATION OF THE MAIDS ROOM TO CREATE A THIRD BEDROOM AND SECOND FULL BATH AND The use of a natural and light material palette THROUGHOUT TO create bright and functional spaces.
